Job Description

The Homologation team in Warwick provides support for our customers including type approval witness testing to EU and UN Regulations, Conformity of Production, in-service conformity testing, and other type approval activities.

This role will be based in Warwickshire, United Kingdom, regular travel to customer sites and IDIADA UK offices in Nuneaton, and Cambridge will be required.

Occasional overseas travel to support client testing and homologation activities when required.

To support the continuing expansion of IDIADA activities in the UK, we are seeking a suitable professional to join our UK Homologation team.

This position reports to the UK Homologation Manager and is responsible for:

  • To deliver homologation activities across the existing client base.
  • Client facing, customer focused role working across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers (cars, motorbikes, trucks...) to deliver projects.
  • Supporting customer with worst casing and technical interpretation.
  • To verify quality of departmental documentation.
  • To generate opportunity proposals in line with Idiada's technical scope.
  • Identification of training requirements
  • To generate reports and certificates to meet client homologation requirements.
  • Keep updated about all the innovation, findings, news and regulations changes in their field

Requirements

  • Previous homologation experience required in activities such as:
    • Commercial Vehicle Approvals.
    • Passive and Active Safety Subjects.
    • Motorcycle Type Approval (various categories).
    • GSRII subjects including Complex Electronics systems and FMEA experience.
    • Knowledge of the GB Type Approval scheme is an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledgeable in regulations, technical and safety requirements.
  • Are updated with the latest innovations and news of the automotive market.
  • Proficiency level in English.
  • Other languages will be an asset.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (other relevant engineering disciplines or experience will be considered)
  • Practical knowledge of automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Automotive OEM processes
  • Sales/Engineering/Technical knowledge
  • Commercial, costing, engineering, or programme management experience
