About the role

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project management activities, ensuring seamless coordination and strategic resource allocation across cross-functional teams to execute projects that advance Cleo Robotics' mission. You will lead our project management efforts, meticulously planning and efficiently executing every phase from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include aligning our engineering teams and external partners, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining a sharp focus on project timelines and budgets. Serving as the linchpin that brings together diverse talents, you will drive collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes.

This position reports directly to the CEO and requires full-time presence at our Boston, MA office, five days a week.

What you'll do

  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the CEO and CTO to develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer demands with company goals and coordinate technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Team Coordination and Resource Allocation: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including engineering, management, and external vendors. Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal team performance and project success.
  • Timeline Management: Create and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
  • Budget Management: Prepare budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost control strategies.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage project risks effectively.
  • Change Management: Manage project changes and ensure they are communicated effectively to all stakeholders. Update project plans and schedules accordingly.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee coordination with third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to technical details and ensure that designs and implementations meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Adept at identifying technical challenges and devising practical solutions to overcome them.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting high-quality standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, including any risks or issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in engineering and project management.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field)
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the robotics, technology, or engineering sectors
  • Successful commercialization experience
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and exceptional communication
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical information related to robotics and autonomous systems
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Bonus Points

  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or a related technical field
