CMD, a Velosity Company is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the shipping and receiving activities for the most efficient, safe and timely product deliveries.

This is an on-site position.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role or in a manufacturing services environment is preferred
  • Skills: The ability to multitask, run several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time; communicate with other departments, suppliers and customers in a professional and respectful manner; basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of all required processes within the manufacturing facility. Basic business knowledge, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems. Previous planning experiences a plus.
  • Abilities: To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision; to work with all levels of the organization effectively; to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner; to make decisions with limited information.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate, work cooperatively and courteously with all employees, customers and suppliers in a respectful and professional manner
  • Develop / improve relationships with suppliers and be the primary contact point for supplier inquiries in completing contract services.
  • Working with Purchasing and Planning, place / coordinate all work with suppliers to attain schedule dates
  • Provide an additional resource for the Purchasing and Planning activities as required by workload, or absences.
  • Determine the required method for all shipments and complete the appropriate documentation
  • Complete or oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks, etc., and with training operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Unpack, inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices, record shortages / damaged goods, complete all documentation and route goods to the appropriate areas
  • Pickup and deliver goods as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets
  • Sitting, Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work Over Time when necessary

Work Environment Requirements

Ability to withstand exposure to a cleanroom manufacturing environment

Licensing/Registration/Certification:

  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
