You will lead the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.
You will be responsible for key client relationship management, and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

You will mentor, coach, and develop your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.

You will provide expert technical advice and leadership support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.

You'll be responsible for:

Developing and implementing cost management strategies and plans to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Preparing detailed cost forecasts and budget reports, analyzing variances and identifying trends to support financial decision-making.
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Assisting in audits and general ledger preparation.
Conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.
Collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to estimate project costs, including materials, labor, and overheads, at various stages of the project lifecycle.
Negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors to secure the best possible prices and terms, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
Implementing cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, identifying and addressing any issues that could lead to budget overruns.
Performing risk analysis to assess potential financial impacts, developing strategies to mitigate cost-related risks.
Reviewing and approving invoices and claims from suppliers and contractors, ensuring all charges are accurate and justified.
Conducting post-project financial audits to assess cost management performance, identifying lessons learned and best practices for future projects

You'll need to have:

Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
