The MIP Processing Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the day-to-day operations of the portioning and edibles teams. Ensures compliant, consistent, sanitary, and safe production and packaging of products.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises portioning and edible teams including managing edible and portioning production schedules, delegating tasks, and organizing workflows
  • Enters production and packaging data into various platforms
  • Creates work orders for production of vape cartridges, mints, and other cannabis products
  • Monitors and manages all equipment and production supplies
  • Prepares daily tasks for portioning and edible team members
  • Assists management with the evaluation, modification, and development of SOP's and processes
  • Assists with workforce and performance management including employee onboarding, training, mentoring, performance reviews, performance improvement plans and managing employee timesheets
  • Operate and maintain equipment for edible product labeling
  • Inspect packaged products for quality as well as compliance including label accuracy, unit counts, packaging standards, and tags
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the portioning and edible production work spaces by the packaging team and assists with cleaning as needed
  • Coordinating the testing and packaging work flows for edibles

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of cannabis industry experience
  • 1 year of supervisory or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Basic mathematic and metric measurement knowledge
  • Knowledge of METRC and Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) compliance regulations related to cannabis packaging

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs.
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes or items.
  • Ability to work in the same area as cannabis and have direct contact with cannabis material
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks for the majority of your workday
  • Ability to safely use and store chemicals including pesticides, fungicides, cleaning agents, and nutrient concentrates following manufacturer's recommendations and/or SOP's

COMPENSATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pay range: $21.00 to $23.00; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications
  • Bonus eligible
  • Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2 weeks per year.
  • Health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance plans are available.
  • Retirement plans are available after 6 months of employment.
