JOB SUMMARY
  • Precisely cut to meet trimming and yield specifications as indicated by provided cut tickets.
  • Communicate any discrepancies between cutting tickets and standard customer orders to the supervisor.
  • Retrieve raw materials and pre-cut inventory based on code dates, reporting any items with short shelf life to the supervisor.
  • Label all products and equipment in accordance with legal and safety regulations.
  • Accurately document all necessary data to conduct assigned cutting yield assessments.
  • Count product inventory levels and maintain standards set by the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with product specifications according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain work areas in alignment with U.S.D.A. standards.
  • Assemble and disassemble equipment in the work area at the start and/or end of shifts.
  • Clean, store, and maintain all assigned knives, scales, and other tools.
  • Manage profitability by achieving product yields and meeting deadlines for product readiness.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Understand and support the company's safety and health objectives by participating in the safety program.
  • Assist in developing and adhering to safe work practices.
  • Report unsafe conditions or acts to management in writing.
  • Immediately report all accidents, injuries, or illnesses to the supervisor.
  • Prior experience in portion cutting meat is required.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions for order requirements.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
