The Global Event Demand Generation Manager drives demand generation for Summits globally, working in collaboration with central and Geo field events teams across the globe. This role will own driving event demand generation at scale, implement best practices, to foster better customer experiences globally, and make continuous improvements based on data and insight. This role will partner broadly across the organization with a diverse team of event and field marketing leaders to develop, augment, and optimize the go to market demand generation strategy to ensure campaigns meet their lead generation and pipeline goals.

The ideal candidate for this role will take an analytical approach to problem solving and have a proven track record of building and executing strategic lead generation campaigns that drive new customer acquisition and generate pipeline. Multi-channel demand generation strategy will span email, paid and organic social, site merchandising, and more. Experience building and executing demand generation strategy for events is a required qualification as well as experience managing multiple events simultaneous.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to globalize demand generation strategy and online experience for tier 1 in person and virtual events globally, to enable field event marketing teams to scale with high bars on quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across a dynamic ecosystem of global and regional stakeholders to define the strategy for digital marketing and lead generation campaigns at global scale, including project management, development, and QA of campaign materials, implementation, and reporting.
  • Own planning and reporting, including status, priorities, action items, risks (and mitigations), and execution. Ensure each team has the information and assets needed to effectively deliver their key priorities.
  • Analyze data and align with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support locations feasibility and registration, attendance, and pipeline goals.
  • Own creation and optimization of marketing content needed to drive demand, including email, landing page, and templates to enable digital marketing to build at scale globally across MarTech tools.
  • Identify and share best practices for audience targeting, database hygiene, and digital channel measurement.
  • Report on key success metrics and performance (primarily registration, attendance, channel engagement) and translate that to apply insights and enhance mechanisms and processes to support a culture of continuous improvement. Analyze digital channel performance metrics to drive future marketing decisions and optimize lead acquisition and activation strategy.
  • Deliver clear, consistent, and frequent communication with central and event field marketing stakeholders to ensure ongoing clarity on strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for digital channels.
  • Manage external agency relationship and resourcing, as needed, to augment team capacity to execute campaigns with strong ROI.

A day in the life

You will collaborate with a diverse group of central and regional stakeholders to set and execute the global strategy to drive demand generation for tier 1 events at scale. You will own the full lifecycle of driving demand, from strategy and development to launch, reporting, and optimization. About the team

In collaboration with key partners, including Events, Brand, Product Marketing, Geo Field Marketing, and Sales, the Global Campaigns organization develops strategy and promotions to drive registration and attendance to tier 1 events that feature AWS's top solution themes and services. Demand generation strategy is developed centrally and deployed globally in partnership with the central Events and Geo Field Marketing teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience equally comfortable building strategic marketing plans and executing at a tactical level
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Proactive in problem solving, liaising, and following up with team members across different teams and countries.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market.
