Job Description

This position reports to Shift (3) Nights, which includes a shift differential according to the shift schedule. This shift schedule is Monday-Friday from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. Due to business need, on select occasion employees may be required to work overtime and/or support operations on an alternate shift. The company reserves the right to adjust your shift schedule, or location if necessary.

About the role:

You will execute all processes in production while strictly following cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply. They are expected to participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable. Under the general direction of the manufacturing lead operator and the direction of the supervisor, this position shall manage all activities in the production area. Activities include manual tasks and operation of automated equipment. You must have technical and administrative competence to initiate minor revisions to existing documents, to troubleshoot simple existing procedures, and to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You must always promote Takeda's focus on Patient, Trust, Reputation, and Business.

How you will contribute: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, SOPs, cGMP, and company policies. Provide support for local manufacturing operations. Complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with GDP/GMP guidelines. Perform hands-on manual and automated manufacturing tasks in a team setting, utilizing various equipment and manual activities. Handle the receipt and distribution of supplies in the production area. Safely remove hazardous waste and troubleshoot minor process issues. Effectively communicate safety, quality, compliance, and equipment concerns to supervisors. Participate in training, documentation review, Safety, and Continuous Improvement Teams, demonstrating knowledge of manufacturing techniques, automation, pharmaceutical equipment, mathematical principles, and chemical/biological safety procedures. What you bring to Takeda: High school diploma or GED plus 1+ years of related experience or AA or higher with no prior experience required. Important Considerations At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may: In general, your work will be a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. with a work partner. Will stand for extended periods of time throughout the duration of an 8 or 12-hour shift. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning. May require bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting motions to perform certain tasks. May work in a confined area. Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions. May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas. Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment. May work in a cold, hot or wet environment. May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection. Facial hair must be removed if required to wear respirator.
