Chicago, Illinois, United States Vouch Insurance Full time

About Vouch:

Insurance... sounds slow, old-fashioned, and unexciting. Exactly. Insurance is broken, and it's failing fast-moving, innovative startups.

Vouch is a new, technology-first insurance company backed with $185M in funding from world-class investors. Like Stripe for payments or Brex for credit cards, Vouch is creating the go-to business insurance for high-growth companies.

We're doing this by making insurance fast, responsive, and focused on our high-growth and innovative customers. Instead of printed PDF applications and week-long waits, Vouch is building new technology to solve real problems, writing policies that actually cover relevant startup scenarios, and designing simple experiences in an otherwise frustrating industry.

What does a work environment look like at Vouch?

This role is based in our Chicago office. We require the team members to be in the office at least two days per week (Monday and Thursday) to foster close collaboration and team building.

Role Responsibilities:

As a success team member, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a great experience after purchasing coverage with Vouch. This position will be responsible for guiding existing customers through any insurance questions they may have, day-to-day servicing of accounts, renewal business, supporting client needs when changing coverage, and ensuring a great experience for all Vouch customers.

We pride ourselves on making things fast, easy, and tailored for our customers. Some of our best customer feedback is about our amazing customer experience and service. You'll be responsible for helping us scale that reputation.

Job Duties:

  • Establish trusted relationships with our customers
  • Retain existing Vouch clients during their renewal process
  • Analyze existing insurance packages and evaluate risk
  • Deliver consistent and timely follow-up in response to client requests and issues
  • Manage growing accounts, including advising clients on risk solutions and selling more products
  • Ensure clients are comfortable with and able to utilize the tools/services available through the Vouch platform
  • Drive additional value by identifying follow-up opportunities for Vouch
  • Coordinate with internal Brokers and placement specialists, as needed, including the preparation and presentation of submissions
  • Collaborate with billing and Policy Administration teams on client/carrier instructions and assist in collections as needed

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of sales, brokerage, customer service, or other client-facing experience – within the insurance industry preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to be agile and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a competitive drive to outperform peers and continuously improve hard and soft skills
  • Dependable, positive, and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Active/Current Property and Casualty License – Or ability to pass licensing examinations within 30 days of start date
  • Ability to drive success through ambiguous and complex situations
  • Takes initiative to problem solve when meeting resistance
  • Empathy with Intention. Ability to effectively and quickly build trust and rapport but still maintain structure and purpose within the conversation.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments
  • A background in insurance or other regulated categories
  • Active/Current Property and Casualty Licenses
