About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager, Data Products, to join our product management team. This newly created position will oversee the development and launch of use-case-specific data products tailored to support the business objectives and time-sensitive decision-making processes of payer business teams. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, insights-ready, usable data products that free payer business teams to spend less time focused on data wrangling and manual intervention and more time focused on advanced analytics and efficient business operations. This is a unique and real opportunity to help solve healthcare's unusable data problem.

The Senior Product Manager will be pivotal in shaping vision, strategy, and roadmap execution for a family of payer-focused data products that accelerate value for business teams in areas such as Quality, Risk Adjustment, Medical Cost Management, and Value-Based Care Analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data product management, a deep understanding of US healthcare payer data operations, and a proven track record in managing complex data and/or analytic solutions. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data products that solve data usability challenges and unlock business value for payer business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for data solutions that align with company objectives and address market needs. Define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure the delivery of high-impact data solutions.
  • Domain Expertise Application: Leverage your expertise in US healthcare payer data, operations, and data product management to oversee end-to-end development of data solutions and ensure continued relevance to healthcare payers. Apply your topical knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: Quality, Risk Adjustment, Provider Data, Healthcare Data Interoperability, Value-based Care, Population Health, and/or Clinical Operations/Medical Cost Management to drive data solutions product innovation.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Coordinate with cross-functional team members, including subject-matter experts, data modeling, data quality and telemetry, sales, and customer success, to deliver data solutions on time and within scope. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication across all functions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders (internal and clients) to gather requirements, understand business needs, and align product features with unmet buyer needs and client expectations. Communicate product vision, updates, and performance metrics clearly and effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data solutions and identify opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous enhancement of data solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Product Management Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product management, with 3+ years of experience specifically managing data products and/or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Domain Expertise: US healthcare payer data, payer operations, and data product management and/or analytics expertise.
  • Topical Expertise: Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential: Quality, Risk Adjustment, Provider Data, Healthcare Data Interoperability, Value-based Care/Population Health, Clinical Operations/Medical Cost Management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, tell a story, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts across multiple roles and functions to achieve product objectives
  • Self-starter: Demonstrated ability to drive workstreams independently, leader with influence, and risk manager with a strong compass on when to escalate issues.
  • Agility: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, maturing start-up environment.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Relevant certification: Product Management, Big Data, Data Analytics (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate).
  • Experience integrating administrative payer data and clinical data to track, monitor, and manage analytic and operational
  • Experience with data analytics, data management, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Management)
