Senior Product Managers at Workhuman operate at the intersection of business strategy, customer excellence, and tactical execution to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value product features to our customers. The ideal candidate is a product professional with deep expertise in delivering Data solutions at scale. They possess a comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer needs, and how that impacts business objectives. They lead the product strategy, collaborate with stakeholders, and make critical decisions to guide the product's success. The role will interface at many levels and with various cross-functional teams across the company including engineering, user research, design, analytics, and marketing, to ensure the product's success in the market.
What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features, updates, and milestones based on customer needs, market trends, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • The opportunity to utilize data analytics to gain insights into product performance, user engagement, and market trends and to better inform decision making and product improvements.
  • The opportunity to partner with product leadership in understanding the high-level opportunities on the product backlog that, when prioritized, deliver the most impactful and valuable features aligned with strategic goals.
  • The opportunity to present and maintain a roadmap distilling initiatives down into epic-level increments for aligned delivery team(s), proving lineage and clarity from OKRs down to sprint goals.
  • The opportunity to build the trust, respect, and confidence with the extended technical team in terms of being able to articulate the 'WHY' behind the product backlog and showing them the vision.
  • The opportunity to clearly articulate and manage product requirements, through writing, breaking down and refining epics and user stories and acceptance criteria. Have a clear focus on always delivering business value.
  • The opportunity to enable the delivery team during each sprint to be successful, to clarify requirements, make priority calls, review test plans and review development work and participate in scrum rituals.
  • The opportunity to drive decision making on solution options and trade-offs to consider in order to meet business needs.
  • The opportunity to communicate regularly with key stakeholders on product status, scope changes and risks.
  • The opportunity to support the Director of Product Management and Product Marketing team in incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners, and in-house teams into product strategy and find innovative ways to expand product market reach.

The skills you bring:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop a long-term vision for the product based on market trends, business goals, and technological advancements. This involves understanding the big picture as well as being able to make tactical decisions.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to analyze data, understand metrics, and derive actionable insights. Proficient in problem-solving and making data-driven decisions.
  • Data Focus: Experience in demonstrating value driven outcomes, and with an aptitude to solving technical data problems.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on user experience and customer satisfaction. Skilled in empathizing with users, understanding their needs, and translating those needs into product features.
  • Technical Proficiency: While not necessarily needing to be an expert in coding, having a solid understanding of the technologies and platforms relevant to data products is crucial. This includes familiarity with data analytics tools, databases, and potentially machine learning concepts.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Achievements:

  • 7+ years working as a Product Manager/Owner in an Agile/Scrum product development environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in product management, ideally in creating and managing data products or software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. Understanding of the product lifecycle from conception to launch and iterative improvement.
  • A strong understanding of data, including data processing, data analytics, data visualization, and how to derive insights from data. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies can be beneficial.
  • SaaS delivery model experience is a must-have, in either B2B or B2C environments.
  • Proven experience developing plans by working from high-level strategic direction.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in supporting product initiatives that are large scale in terms of customer base, complexity of problems solved, scope of functionality offered, etc.
  • Expertise in analyzing product data and synthesizing product plans and strategy based on that data.
  • Experience performing market and competitive analysis.
