Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations, assess, and confirm coverage on-site to settle claims of moderate to severe complexity, including preparing comprehensive repair estimates for damages covered.
  • Manage assigned claims of moderate to severe complexity with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with and potentially coordinate various vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair teams, plumbers, cleaning services, engineers, and other replacement services.
  • Interact and communicate with a diverse range of individuals including insured parties, lawyers, public adjusters, and forensic experts.
  • Explain benefits, coverages, and claims processes clearly either verbally or in written form.
  • Apply knowledge of state and federal laws, statutes, and insurance regulations throughout the claims handling process.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation within claim files during the claims process.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Xactimate estimating platform for preparing claims estimates.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding settlement amounts beyond authorized limits.
  • Identify suspicious losses and recommend referral to SIU when necessary.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced team members, offering informal coaching as needed.
  • May be called upon for catastrophe duty.
Qualifications:

Our exceptional employees complete all mandatory training to deliver outstanding customer service. This includes passing all relevant licensing exam(s) and undergoing required background checks in various states.

This role may be a great fit for you if you possess:
  • High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma
  • At least 3 years of property claims adjusting experience of moderate to severe complexity, involving writing estimates for structural damages among others
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically in all interactions
  • Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platform
  • Advanced understanding of estimating losses of moderate complexity
  • Proficient understanding of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law
  • Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Developing knowledge of residential construction
  • Proficiency with smartphones and various software applications
  • Self-motivated and accountable to your team, work, and schedule
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to crouch and stoop for inspecting confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces may be necessary
  • Must meet all safe driving requirements, including verification of driving records and possession of a valid driver's license
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds or more, including handling a ladder in and out of a car trunk
  • Able to climb ladders and navigate roofs, including inspecting roofs and attics
The starting salary range for this role is:

$ $48.93
