The Senior Director of Performance Management will lead a team of market directors and portfolio managers to identify, develop, and drive new opportunities for revenue growth while managing the portfolio to limit NextGear Capital's risk. This role will involve providing strategic leadership, training, and development to the team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve company goals. The Sr. Director will also establish clear performance expectations, regularly monitor progress, and hold team members accountable for achieving their targets. Measures of success for this position include business revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, market share, growth in transactions, profitability, etc.

Additionally, the Sr. Director of Performance Management will provide client oversight and relationship management, collaborating closely with NextGear Capital's corporate departments, to achieve their goals and objectives. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, the Sr. Director will drive the team to deliver exceptional results and maintain strong, productive client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead NextGear Capital's Director of Performance Management Team that services NextGear Capital's top clients.
  • Risk Management of NextGear Capital's largest clients, including but not limited to, dealers with lines of credit from $50k to $40M+.
  • Monitor dashboards identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with various NextGear Capital and CAI departments on key initiatives and projects.
  • Use analytical tools and market data to evaluate options and execute decisions based on a clear understanding of market dynamics, market/customer segmentation, and customer activity, behavior, and needs.
  • Establish the metrics to achieve the performance goals of the Performance Manager Team.
  • Establish metrics that track client utilization and leverage risk data to maximize client performance.
  • Work collaboratively with NextGear Capital Leadership to drive revenue, grow Cox Automotive, and maximize profitability through controlled growth and risk mitigation.
  • Leverage technology and CAI resources to mitigate loss.
  • Responsible for creating a high-performance team: selecting and developing talent; establishing performance metrics and holding team members accountable for results; championing efforts around employee engagement; fostering open communications between team members and management that includes clearly communicating the company's vision, objectives and priorities while maintaining a focus on Cox Values, Business ethics, integrity and Diversity.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills and social poise to interact with clients and executive leadership.
  • Technical knowledge of dealer operating systems (DMS) and large dealership inner workings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and P&L.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the automotive market, analysis, and trends to determine future client needs and market directions
  • Polished Presentation skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally, written, and via email to all levels of an organization (Senior Team to Front Line).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree required + 12 or more years of relevant work experience required in related field
  • OR MS degree + 10 years of experience
  • OR Ph.D. degree + 7 years of experience
  • OR 16 + years of experience with no degree
  • 5+ years of business development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the automobile industry
  • 7+ years of leadership experience
  • Excellent phone, written, and oral communication skills, advanced organizational skills, management skills, ability to work on collaborative efforts, and ability to handle individual projects to completion.

USD 142, ,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $142, $236, The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
