At Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals, you will be caring for the most vulnerable patients in your community, providing support to chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients in need of extended hospital care. Responsibilities

Are you up for the challenge of assisting medically complex patients and committed to delivering exceptional patient care? If so, this opportunity might be perfect for you.

  • Providing essential services to patients such as bathing using specialized products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care
  • Responding promptly to patient calls and delivering services that contribute to their well-being
  • Participating in regular rounds
  • Assisting in patient transportation to different treatment areas as needed, aiding in moving patients to and from stretchers and wheelchairs
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of instruments and equipment like bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs
  • Keeping patient rooms tidy, including bed-making
  • Managing unit supplies and equipment levels as instructed
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate empathy towards patient needs, ensuring each patient feels valued, heard, and informed. If you are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic setting, we want to hear from you.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma/equivalent OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Prior hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or relevant experience in a related field such as medical assistance or active enrollment in a nursing program

Nursing students may qualify as nurse assistants with State Practice Act approval.
