Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal guests by displaying Spotlight on Success behaviors. Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness. Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates customer wins. Is ready to serve and is well informed of daily facility hours of operation, promotional programs and any other relevant valuable guest information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Anticipates needs of the guest and provides fast, flawless service. Executes all service programs to assure prioritization of service to the very best guests. Checks for satisfaction and properly uses the Service Recovery process to resolve problems when they exist. Promotes Caesars Rewards programs and Caesars Rewards registration and membership. Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting. Promotes Harrah's and always projects Harrah's in a positive light to guests.

Leads count and drop procedures including all members of the count team. Ensures the appropriate collection of slot machine drop boxes. Leads the sorting, counting, strapping and recording the contents of slot drop according to procedure. Compares information contained in drop boxes to data stored on computer terminal. Supervises reading and recording slot machine meters. Responsible for overseeing minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment. Maintains general upkeep of soft count rooms. Informs Manager of any outside resources needed for R&M. Ensures all procedures are adhered to. Performs the regulatory duties of the Count Room Supervisor, in the absence of the Supervisor. When assigned the duties of Count Room Supervisor, this position does not perform the duties of Count Room Representative Lead on the same shift.

Issues beginning of day impressments bags for racing tellers, program sellers and global cash bags. Completes the collection of cash from the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM's) and the applicable verification paperwork. Sorts, counts, straps and records the contents of the racing self-service drop boxes machines (BAM's). Verifies cash and information contained in racing teller, program sellers and global cash pages. Completes shift change and end of day balancing reports. Responsible for running end of day reports in racing system. Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment. Maintains general upkeep soft count rooms. Leads count and drop procedures including all members of the count team. Ensures the appropriate collection of slot machine drop boxes. Trains new staff and assists in ensuring end of day balancing reports are completed properly. Assists racing department with researching cashier variances and providing necessary back up

Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses Spotlight on Success behaviors when encountering guests. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages other to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

The Count Room Dual Rate Lead/Rep may begin their shift as a Count Room Rep and be required to take on the responsibilities of the Lead position in the same shift, however, they cannot return to performing the duties of a Count Room Rep position in the same shift.

When working as a Count Room Representative: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The collection of slot machine and racing self-service drop boxes according to procedure and Pennsylvania Regulations.
  • Sorting, counting, strapping and recording the contents of slot drops according to procedure
  • Transporting Trolleys to approved areas.
  • Assisting during table drop pickup.
  • Emptying each table game box and preparing it for processing using the currency counter.

  • Comparing and verifying the information contained in drop boxes to data stored on computer terminal.
  • Notifying supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Focuses on job duties without interaction with customers.

The Count Room Representative will:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all properties trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes and other confidential information.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years' related experience required. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required. Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping. Excellent customer service skills a must.

Is able to work in smoke filled environment and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
