Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to further develop and supervise the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) program in Wicomico County. This position will be responsible for the implementation of the program mission and development of policies and procedures for advancement of the mission. It will also build and develop additional relationships in the community to enhance the service and provide additional education to the community. This position will also work closely with their supervisor to develop the LEAD program for Wicomico County and work to supervise and train any staff placed in the program as Case Managers or Peer Specialists. Data collection and distribution will also be required for this position, as well as participation in any state or local meetings regarding Harm Reduction and LEAD services. The position will provide case management to a caseload of clients.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r
Experience: Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \r
Notes:�1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\r

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess supervisory experience and an understanding of/experience with the principles of Harm Reduction and application to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis.\r
