The Bryn Mawr Admission Office seeks an organized, warm, enthusiastic, and technology savvy

Administrative Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must possess excellent

oral and written communication skills, a genuine fondness for young children, a good sense of humor and

a detail-oriented nature.

This is a part-time (7:15 A.M.- 3 P.M.), 8-month position (late August through late April) that includes occasional evening and weekend commitments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities


• Assist the Senior Director of Enrollment Management and the Assistant Director of Admission in managing admissions and enrollment process for the Lower School.


• Answer phones and respond to email inquiries.


• Provide a warm and reassuring welcome to applicants visiting for their shadow days and assessments.


• Maintain stock of physical materials for prospective Lower School families (visitor folders, assessments, applicant gifts, etc.).


• Maintain admission database and pull various reports.


• Schedule appointments for the Senior Director of Enrollment Management and Assistant Director of Admission, Lower School.


• Book shadow visits, individual assessments, and campus tours for Lower School applicants/families


• Walk Lower School visitors around campus.


• Generate correspondence related to Lower School admission processes.


• Support the admission team in organizing and executing admission events (PK


• Provide support and coordination for volunteer student and parent Admissions Ambassadors.


• Receive, read, and route incoming mail.


• Assist with inventory of admission materials and office supplies.


• Supervise young applicants/siblings while parents tour and/or interview.


• Maintain admission reception area.

Recommended Employment Qualifications:


• Minimum of a high school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.


• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; experience in an independent school or admission office preferred.


• A fondness for and desire to work with young children.


• Excellent communication abilities including well-developed interpersonal, writing, and telephone skills.


• Ability to perform duties as part of a team with confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.


• Solid technology skills, experience with educational databases and Google Drive preferred.


• Warm personality, positive attitude, sense of humor, and patience.
