Job Summary:

The Production Lead is responsible for leading the assembly and test of electro-mechanical assemblies. This includes leading and training a team of workers to meet production goals and standards safely.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with a wide range of mechanical and/or electrical products.
  • Knowledge of P&ID diagrams.
  • Knowledge of pipe and conduit routing.
  • Knowledge and ability to assemble, install, maintain, and repair equipment such as chillers, pumps, closed vats, and other large vessels or containers that hold liquids and gases.
  • Knowledge and ability to wire and terminate electrical panels.
  • Knowledge of process improvement and bottleneck reduction.
  • Train and coach employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.
  • Ensure workers have the necessary equipment and prints to perform their duties.
  • Resolve production issues and escalate those that require management attention.
  • Educate employees on quality and safety standards and procedures.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
  • Perform technical duties on functional work group projects.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and submittals.
  • Work independently and suggest solutions through MOC requests and appropriate chains of command.
  • Ensure all quality requirements are met and that required quality documentation is properly completed.
  • Employ test techniques and procedures for key cell projects.
  • Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers and bills of material.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • where only general methods are available.
  • Able to make decisions involving initiative and ingenuity.
  • Able to identify and correct issues in production equipment.
  • Able to handle multi-task situations and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and materials handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Use hand and machine tools as necessary.
  • Considerable judgment required to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
  • Exhibit professionalism in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships.   • 10+ years of Technology or Manufacturing Experience with exposure to various aspects of Demand Planning, Production Workflow, Production Testing and Production Assembly
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
