Lead Supply Chain Technician

Overview:
The Lead Supply Chain Technician plays a crucial role in enhancing departmental operations by delivering exceptional customer service and sharing knowledge of processes and tasks with fellow team members. This position is pivotal in managing inventory control tasks, including product scanning, order picking, and restocking inventory locations and systems. Additional duties may encompass receiving supplies, ensuring data accuracy, and reordering as necessary. The Lead Technician is also responsible for addressing critical supply chain challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit proficiency in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Execute tasks associated with Supply Chain Technician and Senior Technician roles.
- Demonstrate mastery of INFOR modules relevant to assignments, including Par Specialist, Purchasing Receiver, Inventory Management, Warehouse Clerk, and Mobile Supply Chain Management.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance with operational processes and policies.
- Identify and resolve urgent supply order issues, providing updates and options to leadership as needed.
- Investigate product availability from alternative vendors or facilities during supply shortages and arrange transportation as required.
- Familiarize oneself with all Supply Chain and related technology systems to take appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify suitable substitutes by liaising with other staff and clinical teams.
- Assist in the rollout of Contract Launch Packets by verifying procedural steps.
- Implement changes to inventory parameters as directed by management.
- Support supply chain and clinical personnel with extensive product knowledge.
- Carry out receiving functions and coordinate with Procurement as assigned.
- Respond to inquiries from the INR/RNI team.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Communicate updates to customers and staff as necessary.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Supply Chain Applications.
- Meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Adapt to varying situations while maintaining strong decision-making capabilities.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 3-4 years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in supply chain roles (Inventory Control, Procurement, Planning, Operations) is preferred.
- 1 year of demonstrated computer proficiency is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical products and equipment is preferred, along with experience in hospital supply chain operations.
