Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, will partner with other members of the executive leadership team to shape and communicate the ongoing vision for PEC's people strategy and ensure that opportunities and impact for people across the organization are understood
  • Serve as a key member of executive leadership team and expert advisor on talent and culture matters
  • Create a robust People roadmap and strategy in line with objectives, vision and strategy and enables a positive employee experience
  • Lead organizational design while developing top talent, improving employee engagement and ensuring high performance
  • Inspire, grow, and develop the People Team to be a high-performing asset of our business that evolves practices as the business grows
  • Lead a People Team that consistently delivers high impact services and is anchored in the ability to effectively listen and solve people issues with care
  • Develop a diversity, inclusion, and belonging strategy that advances our culture and positions PEC as a great place to work
  • Create, implement, and measure programs that develop talent, enhance career advancement, and foster agile performance management
  • Develop and embed programs, processes and practices for robust talent and succession planning across PEC
  • Oversee and ensure Total Rewards programs are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with business goals
  • Lead talent acquisition, strategizing innovative ways to share and build an affinity for our value proposition in a competitive talent market

The Person
Education: BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimally Required

  • 15+ years of progressive responsibility in People Operations/Human Resources, with 5+ years as most senior HR professional in a small Company or the top divisional HR leader in a larger company
  • 5+ years of executive leadership/managerial experience
  • Experience in the life sciences industry and in small, high-growth companies built on pioneering science
  • Expertise in organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, talent management and culture stewardship
  • Prior success scaling an organization in a hands-on, collaborative environment
  • Keen ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of Federal, State and Local employment laws, regulations and legislation to ensure compliance

  • Experience in organizational change management and rapidly growing businesses
  • Demonstrated success in leading, inspiring, coaching and building world-class People teams
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate business and organizational needs and address challenges before they arise
