Role Summary

The Enterprise Client Executive (ECE) team serves as executive sponsors for a portfolio of hand selected, high-profile Evernorth commercial, federal, and health plan clients. They are accountable for managing client enterprise strategies and growth roadmaps cross-functionally. This highly dynamic team consists of Enterprise Client Executives and Strategic Sr. Advisors.

The Enterprise Accounts Strategic Sr. Advisor will play a critical role on the ECE team including, but not limited to, how the team expands to service existing ECE accounts and non-ECE accounts.

This highly visible position, both internally and externally, will play a key role in supporting the execution of client strategies and the scalability of the ECE model across Evernorth BU/LOB account teams.

The ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships with business leaders across the enterprise is a critical component to the success of the individual chosen. Working in close collaboration with the ECEs, the role, evolving as needed to adjust to shifting market conditions and client needs, is expected to seamlessly align consensus across key cross-functional and matrixed partners to drive successful execution of ECE client strategies. This role will also act as a strategic facing lead for key customer-specific business growth strategies agnostic of BU/LOB.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful execution of key segments and client-specific strategic initiatives that are optimized for future scalability/repeatability for both ECE and non-ECE clients.
  • Identify best practices across segment ECEs that facilitates knowledge sharing, new client opportunities, and collaboration on client efforts to be applied cross BU/LOB.
  • Partner with segment ECEs and account team partners to stay laser focused on strategy alignment and execution of shared priorities.
  • Drive accountability with cross-functional partners to ensure successful execution and completion of key initiatives that support growth (revenue, membership, retention, etc.) and cross-enterprise leverage.
  • Interface with external clients and internal critical stakeholders in partnership with account teams to identify cross-enterprise opportunities that are strategic and drive solution configurability that powers future Evernorth growth.
  • Understand cross-functional team needs and support enterprise account management teams for broad, enterprise initiatives that result in thought-leadership, growth, client satisfaction, and retention.
  • Manage client operations and proactively identify and communicate opportunities for improvement and efficiencies, including scorecards, client enterprise P&L, etc.
  • Support ECEs, clients, and account teams through development and interpretation of/or creation of data outputs, analytics and insights and apply those methodologies and processes to selected non-ECE clients.
  • Provide oversight of enterprise customer projects that support ECE client strategies, voice of client/market and apply those learnings across account teams.
  • Build and execute a holistic strategy that meets the evolving needs of the ECEs and their enterprise clients, then execute at-scale across accounts and across EN relationships.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree highly desirable.
  • A seasoned, respected leader with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the health services industry with experience managing multiple aspects of business operations.
  • Strategy/program management strongly preferred.
  • Agility and ability to work iteratively with a constantly changing business environment and areas of ambiguity.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record for developing business strategies and creating innovative solutions to difficult problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively collaborate and prioritize to meet client needs and timelines.
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, listening and presentation skills. Able to absorb and filter through a lot of diverse information and present the key issue, trend or decision required.
  • Strong analytical / problem solving, organizational and process improvement skills; Business process mapping skills.
  • Strong relationship skills – the ability to build trusted, productive partnerships between business leaders and internal/external partners is a must.
  • Energy, focus & stature to excel – strong leadership presence, (possess stature) prominence in the industry and can rally people.
  • Strong work ethic and a high drive and focus. Demonstrates optimism and determination when facing challenges.
