We are looking for a Distribution and Key Account Manager to join our CI team.

With more than 600 products in its portfolio, in particular amines, diols, polyalcohols, acids and specialties, the Intermediates division offers innovative solutions for a wide range of industries – from coatings and plastics to pharmaceuticals and crop protection.

As the Distribution and Key Account Manager for Americas you will coordinate the Distribution Management approach for CIN in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Distribution Account Managers focused on distribution sales for Chemical Intermediate portfolios. Providing strategic oversight across all CIN markets to drive harmonization of distribution management.

  • Developing a strategic vision, monitoring performance and initiating corrective actions.
  • Developing, mentoring and motivating a team of Distribution Account Managers / Inside Sales to grow our business with our selected Distribution Partners.
  • Focusing on developing a growth strategy for assigned distributor(s) in Chemical Intermediates (CIN), which includes the creation of account specific strategic plans and their execution with measurable results.
  • Managing account maintenance and growth of assigned customers, while anticipating future growth potential and realize those opportunities.
  • Participating in customer segmentation and business rules implementation. Being responsible for: call reports, weekly and monthly reports, lead documentation, price, and margin management of customer portfolio.
  • Being responsible for determining which Inside Sales accounts remain with CI (and defining a growth plan for those accounts) and which are transferred to Distribution.

  • Have 10+ years in a Sales/Customer Facing role.
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related field with experience in the chemical industry.
  • Count with progressive experience in Sales with a strong financial acumen and proven business acumen to provide forecasts (including short- and long-term forecasting) to the relevant to CI SBUs.
  • Couth with effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills that sells benefits and creates an effective value proposition for the customer.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Salesforce
