Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant is pivotal in managing the financial and accounting functions at Datacor, ensuring that all accounting processes are executed accurately, promptly, and meaningfully.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and a dedication to completing tasks accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and track cash accounting, ensuring timely cash entries.
2. Conduct bank reconciliations.
3. Prepare, post, and reconcile deferred revenue reports as assigned.
4. Generate and distribute daily reports on credit card cash receipts.
5. Record credit card cash receipts.
6. Maintain and journalize schedules for prepaid expenses.
7. Prepare, maintain, and journalize amortization and depreciation schedules.
8. Update and reconcile general ledger accounts.
9. Perform analyses of general ledger accounts.
10. Journalize monthly subsidiary general ledger activities.
11. Assist with various month-end accounting close tasks as required.
12. Prepare miscellaneous tax forms and filings.
13. Aid in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
14. Compile month-end vendor analysis reports for accruals.
15. Upload monthly credit card transactions to the general ledger.
16. Review customer contract accounting as assigned.
17. Prepare ad hoc accounting reports and project tasks.
18. Assist with audit and tax request preparations.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial auditing.
3. Experience in public accounting and financial auditing is highly preferred.
4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidacy is preferred.
5. Experience in the SaaS industry is a plus but not mandatory.
6. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
7. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
8. High ethical standards and integrity.
9. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a creative mindset.
10. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth team environment.
