Success in this position requires a passion for building high-performing and reliable applications. You need to have an internal urge to come up with innovative ideas and look for the best tools to solve scalability problems. We are looking for someone who can lead a team of experienced developers, work independently, look at the problem from a product perspective, suggest proper solutions and then execute them.

Our tech stack: Kotlin, Java 17, Kafka (with Kafka Streams), Test containers, Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud Stream), Python, Angular, MongoDB, Cassandra, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, git, AWS Cloud

You will be expected to:

  • Take part in creating a new product from scratch
  • collaborate with a Product Manager and Tech Leaders to design scalable and efficient software product
  • provide technical leadership and guidance to the team
  • set technical direction, create and drive best practices and standards in the team (including peer reviews and building for testability)deliver features, integrations, tools, documentation, and support for our customers
  • define scope, timelines, assist in project estimation
  • ensure adherence to design principles and maintainable code, performance optimization
  • participate in hands-on development, including coding, debugging, code reviews etc.,
  • deliver quality and future-proof solutions, not just what was requested
  • propose any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices
  • support and maintain CI/CD Workflows
  • participate in weekly 24/7 on-call duty rotation as a member of the team

Our requirements:

  • min. 2 years of hands-on experience in leading the team e.g. Tech Lead role in a product company
  • Experience in creating a product from 0-1
  • min. 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications using modern technology stacks such as Java/Kotlin, Kafka with microservices architecture
  • strong hands-on experience with Kafka (with Kafka Streams)
  • very good knowledge of Spring framework
  • experience with Kubernetes
  • understanding the basics of Terraform, Prometheus and Grafana
  • the ability to follow good development practices like test automation, CI/CD, source version control, etc.
  • enjoy technical challenges and are eager to explore new technologies and solutions
  • high level of commitment to driving things to completion (delivering real value)
  • excellent command of English (both speaking and writing)
  • willingness to participate in the rotation on-call duty (24/7)
  • excellent interpersonal skills, proactive approach and can-do attitude
  • start-up mindset

Nice to haves:

  • knowledge of Python or Bash will be an asset
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
  • Experience in Angular/frontend side
