Position Overview:

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer specializing in waterfront and marine infrastructure. This role is pivotal in our New England Transportation operations, focusing on the design and execution of large-scale waterfront projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct engineering assignments that require a comprehensive understanding of technical codes and standards.
  • Oversee the planning and design phases of waterfront projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Lead the preparation of project deliverables, including contract documents.
  • Review and approve contract deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Engage with clients and regulatory agencies to clarify project requirements and secure necessary approvals.
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, utilizing project management tools.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license in a New England state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in marine and waterfront structures.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software, including AutoCAD and structural analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively.
