Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:
- Conduct engineering assignments that require a comprehensive understanding of technical codes and standards.
- Oversee the planning and design phases of waterfront projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Lead the preparation of project deliverables, including contract documents.
- Review and approve contract deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Engage with clients and regulatory agencies to clarify project requirements and secure necessary approvals.
- Manage project budgets and financial performance, utilizing project management tools.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in a New England state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in marine and waterfront structures.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, including AutoCAD and structural analysis tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively.
