Sr Manager – Digital Product Solution Design

The Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) organization powers the world's best customer experiences through innovative data, digital and marketing products and solutions. The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization that sits within Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS). It is American Express' marketing services center of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Comms & MarTech Portfolio Solutions (CMPS) team within ECMX. Our mission is to deliver centralized, scalable, and strategic MarTech portfolio solution designs for high priority, high complexity initiatives while representing ECMX teams and partnering with product, execution, technologies, strategic planning, and global marketing teams across all lines of business. We strive to enable an integrated, highly automated, and intelligent marketing ecosystem that accelerates business outcomes through seamless, moment-based, customer-centric experiences powered by timely, personalized, and engaging content.

We are looking for a dynamic Solution Design Manager/Sr. Manager to join the Enterprise Demand Solution Management team within CMPS. This individual will be responsible for leading solutioning for projects spanning enterprise objectives, including transformations, innovations, proof of concepts, migrations, etc. This role will help define and build the future of our marketing capabilities by creating solutions, architecture, and project plans across the ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Drive discovery across ECMX MarTech platform & architecture teams to design a robust solution in close collaboration with NPD/product management teams keeping customer journey & customer experience in mind. Identify and translate business needs into actionable artifacts that truly meet the business needs across eligibility and other MarTech platforms within ECMX.Conduct full lifecycle activities that include requirements analysis and solution design using Agile methodology in close collaboration with Marketers, Engineers, Technical Architects, Product Owners and MarOps.Define a fully thought through solution in alignment with all impacted stakeholders, across multiple ECMX MarTech platform teams.Maintain oversight across build/test and through delivery for any solution related questions.Lead stakeholder meetings and distribute leadership communications to new product development and cross platform delivery teams, impacted product teams, etc. covering escalations, roadblocks, milestones, identified issues, and successes. Success in this role is related to the individual's ability to effectively engage, learn, and deliver high quality solutions while working with a large and diverse set of stakeholders and team members.Create and present updates/roadmaps to leadership on a regular cadence.Identify and engage impacted ECMX and related product teams.Align across ECMX on capability requirements, capacity allocation and build sequencing across product teams. Raise prioritization or sequencing issues to appropriate teams as needed.Create and maintain solution and discovery documentation in centralized repository. Produce L1/L2 solution architecture in partnership with product and technology teams post discovery and solution phases.Coordinate with impacted platform, MarOps and change management teams to ensure seamless implementation.Minimum Qualifications Qualifications/Skills:Critical thinking skills with a willingness to challenge the status quoProject Management skillsStrong analytical skills including ability to gather and interpret several types of data.Initiative-taking/self-directed/self-learnerHighly organized, strong attention to detail.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Superior storytelling ability and PowerPoint experience.Fervent desire to learn new systems/software applications.Understands algorithmic thinking and the ability to break down complex problems.Background in Product Development is a definite plus.Analytics ability – Preferred.Experience with Big Data tools/platforms/systems – Preferred.Experience with compliance, privacy, risk, legal and audit procedures – Preferred.Experience writing Features, User Stories and Tasks in Confluence and/or Jira – Preferred.Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree (or higher)Product Development or Design experience is highly desired.Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Financial ServicesExperience with Agile methodologies (certification preferred) Salary Range: $125,000.00 to $170,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
