Job Description:
Responsible for leading key Card & Lending integration workstreams. Responsible for establishing proper governance and project management of relevant workstream to hit key timelines and deliverables. Leads owned workstreams to ensure they are consistently progressing on time and escalates any risks to those timelines.
In addition, plans, directs, or coordinates activities regarding the development and implementation of projects across the business unit. Coordinates the management of planning for business and resources, prioritizing project activities, and overseeing the implementation of projects over time.
Creates a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Directs operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
  • Responsible for planning and coordination of Card & Lending related workstream activities including directing strategic approach to workstream and managing agreed upon timeline and deliverables with COF counterparts
  • Direct day-to-day activities related to owned workstreams (assign deliverables to relevant SMEs, compile necessary materials, etc.)
  • Point person for managing senior executive relationships
  • Provide DFS senior leadership with view of status of owned workstreams
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Discover IMO workstreams
  • Escalate and remediate risks and decisions identified in respective workstreams as they arise
  • Meets with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolves problems and develop prioritization of resource activities
  • Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Develops and maintains tracking on all project activity within the business unit.
  • Leads efforts to transform to a continuous improvement approach.

Minimum qualifications:
Education:

• Bachelors in any of the following: (Business Administration & Management / Analytics / Information Technology

Experience:

• 10+ years of Intelligence, Risk Management, Business Resilience, Financial Industry, Security, Compliance, Audit or related.

• 6+ years of people management.

Preferred qualifications:
Education:

• Masters degree preferred in any of the following areas: Business Administration & Management / Information Technology / Analytics
Experience:

• 10+ years Management, IT, Project Management or related

In Lieu of Education Experience:

• 12+ years Management, IT, Project Management or related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $173,000.00 to $263, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
