Responsibilities
  • Oversees management of space and facilities for the education mission; liaises with Security, Facilities, and Engineering & Maintenance to ensure appropriate scheduling, stafng and maintenance.
  • Responsible for departmental human resources activities, information systems, data and budget reporting and all other operational activities, creating and maintaining a high-performance ofce and culture.
  • Establishes and reinforces clear expectations of superior performance and service, particularly through the establishment of a team-oriented and proactive ofce culture.
  • Works in collaboration with appropriate units of the institution (ITS, Facilities, communication, etc.), to provide appropriate support to the education mission.
  • Works with Vice Dean and staff in related units to develop and monitor budgetary issues for each education office, including budget submission, scal year-end closing, student tuition, fees.
  • Works with Vice Dean to support all activities and offices under the purview of the education mission.
  • Oversight of development and implementation of administrative processes to include LCME and biomedical education CQI related activities, implementation of strategic plan for education, education events and awards.
  • Oversight of process to ensure web materials, student handbook materials and education policies are updated, accurate and disseminated appropriately.
  • Represents institution with relevant outside parties when necessary to include with NBME (Chief Proctor), foundations


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting or related field; Master's preferred

7+ years related experience, of which 2 years reflects strong leadership and managerial ability;

Established experience of evaluating, onboarding, training, supervising and motivating employees;

Strong communication (both written and verbal) leadership and time management skills;

Critical thinking, interpersonal and problem solving skills;

Strong analytical skills, detailed oriented and exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities;
