Overview

The person hired into this role is responsible for driving the growth of the Transformers Services portfolio, which includes installation, commissioning, and refurbishment of transformers and the associated equipment. You will work with the Front End sales team to sell these services to existing customers, identify new business opportunities (data centers, commercial industrial, etc.), build and maintain relationships with customers, and close deals to drive orders growth. This is a remote role with up to 85% travel. Company credit card provided for all travel/expenses.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets. Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Hitachi Energy Front End sales and customers. Understand customers' needs and provide solutions that add value to their business.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape. Use this information to position our transformers services effectively in the market.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets. Regularly report on sales performance and business development activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams (like Front End sales, product sales, marketing, and product management) to develop and implement business strategies.

  • Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of the transformers service industry (as opposed to transformer equipment sales) and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to travel domestically is an essential part of this position.
