Title: Laboratory Assistant

Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite)

The Laboratory technician is responsible for receiving incoming materials, organization of raw materials, maintaining laboratory logs, washing beakers and assisting in everyday laboratory duties. This position will report to the Director of Product Development and will work in conjunction with the R&D laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming materials for the laboratoryOrganize raw materialsMaintain laboratory logsWash beakers and keep work areas clean and safeAssist and support products to expand the R&D formulation libraryWork on multiple projects at the same timeRecord work and generate reports as requestedFollow safety protocols when handling materials and discarding wasteOrder supplies and inventoried materials on as needed basisPerform other duties as assigned by the Sr Director of Product Development

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
AA degree in Chemistry or related field preferred, or equivalent education and directly related years of experience.1 or more years of experience in Research and Development laboratoryScience knowledge of basic chemistry lab techniquesAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writingDemonstrated ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environmentAbility to work in a fast paced environmentStrong computer skills including familiarity with relevant software including Excel and Word are required
