Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist a supervising scientist in conducting experiments aimed at developing novel epigenetic assays.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment for experiments.
  • Learn to prepare DNA libraries for Next Generation Sequencing in accordance with established protocols.
  • Support the planning and preparation of sequencing libraries derived from various epigenetic assays.
  • Conduct quality control on DNA libraries produced from assays such as CUT&Tag, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or CUT&RUN.
  • Gain proficiency in operating equipment including thermal cyclers, thermomixers, centrifuges, and sequencers.
  • Assist in the formulation of basic experimental protocols for routine laboratory use.
  • Maintain a comprehensive digital laboratory notebook.
  • Draft necessary manufacturing documentation to facilitate efficient product transfer and market release.
  • Propose enhancements to standard laboratory techniques, protocols, processes, and equipment.
  • Learn and apply cell culture techniques, including the maintenance of cell line cultures and long-term cell preservation.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, ensuring common reagents are stocked and reordered as necessary.
  • Execute all tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prepare buffers and related solutions as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory and assist with general maintenance duties.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate of Science (AS) degree with 0-1 year of laboratory experience, along with a foundational understanding of experimental design. Equivalent experience may be obtained through relevant laboratory coursework.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, equipment, and materials; experience in data analysis is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
