Key Responsibilities:
- Assist a supervising scientist in conducting experiments aimed at developing new epigenetic assays.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for experimental procedures.
- Learn to prepare DNA libraries for Next Generation Sequencing in accordance with established protocols.
- Support the planning and preparation for sequencing libraries derived from various epigenetic assays.
- Conduct quality control on DNA libraries produced from assays such as CUT&Tag, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, or CUT&RUN.
- Become proficient in operating laboratory equipment including thermal cyclers, thermomixers, centrifuges, and sequencers.
- Assist in the creation of basic experimental protocols for routine laboratory use.
- Maintain a comprehensive digital laboratory notebook.
- Draft manufacturing documentation necessary for efficient product transfer and market release.
- Provide suggestions for enhancing laboratory techniques, protocols, processes, and equipment.
- Learn and apply cell culture techniques, including the maintenance of cell line cultures and long-term cell preservation.
- Oversee the inventory of common reagents and reorder supplies as needed to ensure continuous workflow.
- Execute all tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare buffers and related solutions as required.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and assist with maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- An Associate of Science (AS) degree with 0-1 year of laboratory experience, or equivalent experience through relevant coursework.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, equipment, and data analysis is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
