Primary Responsibilities

Build and maintain shared components, services, and API
Understand and communicate changes and their impacts
Champion system improvements

The EXP.O NOW Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining a variety of codebases and frameworks that serve as the foundation of the EXP.O NOW system. The team creates shared UI componentry, develops communal backend services and APIs, and integrates common functionality for use by other teams.

The Platform Developer will be involved in developing Platform components and services, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and establishing patterns and best practices. They will be involved in enabling development teams to integrate with the EXP.O NOW system and understanding how changes to the platform will impact those other teams.

The Platform Developer will partner with architecture and development leadership to determine how to adopt new technologies, design new cross-system features, and maintain system performance.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BS or BA in Computer Science or similar; or comparable work experience
5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years in professional setting routinely performing analysis and design using object-oriented techniques.
3+ years working with backend code (Java/Spring) to write business logic, database queries, and APIs
3+ years building front-end clients (Angular/Bootstrap/HTML, CSS) that integrate with back-end APIs
3+ years professional experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORMs in enterprise applications
Demonstrated long-term experience supporting enterprise systems
Experience implementing Client-facing applications with responsive design and development
Experience implementing REST services security using JWT, OAuth, or other related technologies and standards
Experience implementing SPAs with a TypeScript framework like Angular or a JavaScript library like React

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with:
Agile software development methodologies
Event-driven architecture
Azure APIs
Transportation and logistics or supply-chain solutions
IntelliJ IDEA or similar IDE, various plug-ins, Maven, Nexus
Git, branching, and merge requests/pull requests
CI/CD pipelines, automation, security and monitoring (DevSecOps)
Microservices architecture and containers

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $88,000 to $175,000
