Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced FP&A III professional to contribute to our financial planning and analysis efforts. This role will focus on supporting development teams for our flagship product, Big-IP. Key responsibilities include managing headcount, fostering strategic partnerships with business leaders, and overseeing financial planning. Accurate tracking of expenses is crucial for the success of this role, with a strong emphasis on workforce planning, capital expenditures, lab budgets, and product roadmaps. The Engineering team for BIG-IP prioritizes effective resource allocation, utilizing SQL databases to manage workforce time. The ideal candidate will possess experience in SQL or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn. A keen interest in technology will facilitate a better understanding of product roadmaps and assist in achieving team objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various business units to align financial support with their strategic goals.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages to senior management as part of the monthly closing process.
  • Utilize F5's internal budgeting system to monitor and update rolling forecasts and headcount with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Conduct financial impact analyses for strategic investments.
  • Maintain and enhance analytics from the SQL reporting database.
  • Improve the functionality of the BIG-IP SQL reporting database.
  • Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced analytical skills in business and data, including report generation, complex Excel spreadsheets, and database management to assess business performance.
  • Strong capability to manage data across diverse sources and platforms, with proficiency in querying, sorting, merging, and summarizing data.
  • Ability to formulate clear, well-supported recommendations based on thorough analysis of issues.
  • Effective communication skills and comfort in presenting to senior leadership, with strong presentation design skills in PowerPoint or dashboards.
  • Aptitude for writing moderately complex SQL or equivalent scripting languages.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience for an FP&A III role, typically requiring a finance-related degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in FP&A.
Work Environment:
  • This position supports a flexible hybrid working model, with employees expected to work in the office a limited number of days each quarter.
