Our offices are located in Charlottesville, VA, Columbia, MD, Columbus, OH, Westchester, IL, Pasadena, CA and Maple Grove, MN, although our client base is nationwide. We are one of the top 2 companies that provide ESOP recordkeeping and administration services in the country, and we continue to grow our retirement services business (401(k), DB, CB, etc). We are seeking sharp, detail-oriented, dedicated individuals to join our team.

We are hiring a Senior Retirement Plan Distribution & Loan Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can work in a permanent support position with our 401(k) team. The ideal candidate will be well organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Individual's primary responsibilities will focus on managing annually reoccurring distribution projects including RMDs, cash-out distributions, testing-related refunds, assisting with escalation issues and training and supervising entry level distribution and loan processors.
A Senior Distribution and Loan Specialist is vital to the administration of 401(k) plans. The Specialist will coordinate the processing of loans and distributions from 401(k) or profit- sharing plans. A typical day could include many different tasks varying in scope and nature, utilizing various software programs.

Job Responsibilities:

Work with multiple recordkeeping platforms to coordinate distributions, loans, RMDs, cash-outs and refunds. Work with multiple recordkeeping platforms to obtain TPA and Administrative access. Create distribution and loan paperwork as needed. Calculate and verify vesting using both elapsed time and actual hours methods. Complete vesting uploads on multiple recordkeeping platforms. Manage and train entry level processors. Develop reports for senior management. Review and improve processes. Perform other related duties as required.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Associate degree Minimum 4 years recent experience processing 401(k) distributions and loans, including termination payouts, hardships, In-Service withdrawals, RMDs, corrective distributions and payments to alternate payees. Superior understanding of the rules and regulations related to distributions and loans. Experience calculating vesting and RMDs and preparing 1099-R forms. Experience reading a plan document to find and confirm its loan and distribution provisions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently while handling multiple assignments. Proficient in the Microsoft office suite. Excel skills are required. Experience working with national 401(k) daily recordkeeping platforms. Experience with ASC software and/or PensionPro is a plus.Benefits:
