We are seeking a VP, Product Management - Commercial to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.
Job Summary
The VP of Product Management - Commercial will lead the commercial product management team, driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our product portfolio as it relates to commercial business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of commercial market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends. The VP will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products that enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to the company's overall success.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial product strategy aligned with the company's vision and business goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch evaluation. Ensure products meet market needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, assess product performance, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Continuously deliver advances in the product by executing against the product roadmap.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a small team of product managers.
  • Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
  • Encourage experimentation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Work closely with engineering, product marketing, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on product vision, priorities, and execution plans.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and validate product ideas. Ensure that the voice of the customer is integral to the product development process.
  • Engage and develop relationships with the analyst community communicating product strategy, demonstrating product capabilities, and gathering feedback.
  • Champion commercial products through presentations and demonstrations at conferences and industry events. Act as the face-of-the-franchise for the commercial platform.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue and profitability metrics.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.
  • Regularly report on product performance to the executive team and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and market entry and Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • 5+ years experience in cross-functional role (sales, pre-sales, marketing) preferred
  • Proven track record of managing complex product portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex business environments and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

This position offers a total compensation range of $270,000.00 to $310, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
