The Senior Vice President of Product Management for Banking Compliance Solutions (BCS) plays a pivotal role within the BCS Segment of Wolters Kluwer Compliance Solutions. This leadership position is responsible for steering the product strategy and innovation execution for Expert Solutions, focusing on product development and enhancing customer engagement with technology offerings that aim for substantial annual revenue growth across a diverse customer base.

This role requires a blend of strategic foresight and operational acumen to ensure that the most relevant Expert Solutions are prioritized, developed, and delivered in alignment with the changing needs of clients.

Collaboration with BCS Market Strategy leaders and other stakeholders is essential to achieve a successful profit and loss (P&L) outcome for the expanding portfolio of BCS Software as a Service (SaaS) products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and nurture a Product Management team consisting of five directors and over 70 professionals.
  • In partnership with DXG leadership, indirectly manage and prioritize tasks for a development team exceeding 200 members, including full-time employees and contractors.
  • Serve as the public representative for BCS products, engaging with sales teams during negotiations with major corporations, including national and global banking institutions.
  • Foster productive relationships with cross-functional teams, including market strategy, innovation, product engineering, project management, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and execution of product management activities that drive financial success.
  • Lead initiatives to unify platforms across various technology stacks and facilitate the transition of over 2,000 clients from legacy systems to SaaS solutions.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of BCS products, focusing on the development and maintenance of product roadmaps that reflect strategic objectives, market demands, and product lifecycle stages.
  • Ensure adherence to disciplined development processes (lean and agile) across all teams involved to guarantee that product development aligns with objective, customer-centric, data-driven methodologies.
  • Oversee the definition and prioritization of the product backlog to effectively identify and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate new product launches and updates, collaborating closely with the Market Strategy team and other key stakeholders (marketing, sales, development, and support).
  • Maintain the stability of key product platforms in the market by establishing and adhering to high-performance standard operating procedures for cybersecurity, availability, data protection, regulatory compliance, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with key research and development teams within BCS to ensure a continuous transfer of advanced technology research (such as artificial intelligence and machine learning) into core product development roadmaps, supporting the transition to higher-value decision support solutions.
  • Support the VP & Segment Leader of Banking Compliance Solutions in high-level business strategy development, team culture enhancement, market problem-solving, and other group-wide initiatives as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establish a cohesive vision and collaborative work environment among diverse groups. Mentor and coach team members to cultivate high-performing teams within the BCS Product Management function.
  • Set performance objectives and assist staff in their professional growth; provide ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure the right talent is in place to execute the strategic plan; recruit new talent as necessary.
  • Align the team through KPI reporting and regular qualitative assessments.
  • Monitor team effectiveness through regular goal reviews and KPI tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience leading product management for complex, high-revenue B2B technology products in relevant information industry markets.
  • At least 8 years of management experience, with a minimum of 4 years in a Director-level or higher role.
  • Proven track record in designing, delivering, and managing successful B2B software products in a complex information services environment.
  • Direct responsibility for product requirements, design, and delivery.
  • Strong expertise in all stages of the product development process, with a deep understanding of formal development methodologies such as Lean.
  • Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with Agile Product Development, Pragmatic Marketing, or Design Thinking.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in the financial services technology sector is preferred.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong executive-level leadership skills, including talent development, project management, resource allocation, and crisis resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in customer-facing presentations and pitches.
  • Willingness to travel to meet business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly absorb and analyze information independently.

Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel may be necessary.
