Windjammer Capital is seeking an Investment Associate or Vice President to become a vital member of their investment team, engaging in diverse activities such as sourcing, assessment, due diligence, and execution of investment opportunities. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the deal team leader and will hold significant responsibilities in daily leadership and execution tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the deal team leader to formulate and assess investment theses
  • Oversee the daily execution of investment evaluation and due diligence work plans
  • Lead financial modeling and valuation analyses
  • Actively participate in investment committee meetings
  • Provide insights on transaction and financing documentation
  • Review all due diligence findings
  • Evaluate and select middle-market lenders
  • Supervise junior team members

Responsibilities for Existing Investments

  • Direct weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting
  • Establish strong relationships with company management
  • Assist with financial analyses
  • Lead add-on acquisitions and portfolio company financings
  • Network within the industry
  • Engage in meetings with the company or investment committee
  • Communicate with lenders

Firm Management Duties

  • Participate in weekly deal meetings
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, and mentoring of Associates
  • Engage in marketing and sourcing initiatives
  • Assist in developing new investment theses
  • Support internal improvement priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a prestigious university
  • MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in private equity
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business strategy, finance, and accounting
  • Experience with middle-market transactions
  • Ability to analyze investment opportunities
  • Exceptional communication skills
