Duties may include but are not limited to:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


Functions as the time and leave clerk/advisor on all matters concerning time and leave records for employees at the Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC).

Provides advisory and technical assistance to staff and management regarding time and leave regulations and policies, as well as records preparation and processing procedures, and the timely and accurate information is provided in response to all inquiries concerning time and leave records.

Looks for delays or problems in processing of time and leave records, reviews the case, determines the problem or bottleneck, and initiates correction action to expedite the processing.

Ensures accuracy, completeness, and conformance in the time and leave record processing with Federal and VA Regulations, and CPAC polices, and procedures.

Advises and is a resource individual for the CPAC administrative staff on matters relating to Time and Leave processing.

Performs leave audits on personnel with low leave balances and/or when there appears to be a questionable pattern of employee leave usage.

Maintains timekeeping records via the usual office file and/or computer files.
Assures all timekeeping records are accessible to Fiscal Service staff for the purpose of periodic audits.

Utilizes data base management system (VistA) and word-processing to prepare records of overtime/compensatory time for use in CPAC and Fiscal Services to assure employee pay and leave status are accurate.

Performs clerical duties with a minimum amount of technical assistance in a wide variety of forms, reports, correspondence, and miscellaneous documents.

Extracts information from data and processes work from draft and/or verbal instructions.
Establishes and maintains functional files and ledgers.
Answers telephones, provides information and/or refers to the appropriate person.
Proves assistance to higher level employees.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM
