Roles and Responsibilities

Run a paperless HR function. Look for automated HR solutions.

Perform HR duties and responsibilities in a safe manner while leading by example.

Recruit, select, and onboard new team members.

Coordinate benefits administration and annual open enrollment process.

Develop, design and administer HR policies and procedures.

Coordinate, manage, and measure safety program including training, compliance, policy development and workers' compensation.

Ensure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws.

Plan, develop, and coordinate the implementation of training programs.

Manage team member performance evaluation process, performance improvement plans and career development process.

Consult with and mentor managers on employee relations issues. Assure appropriate corrective actions are consistently administered. Counsel team members when necessary and perform exit interviews.

Support and train new HR hires.

Ensure accuracy and consistency in bi-weekly payroll.

Manage risks including GL and WC injuries and claims. Control costs and work with carriers to manage claims.

Know how to develop an EEOC Position Statement.

Assist HR Director.

Maintain spreadsheets for management to understand labor cost, department needs, and upcoming projects.

Communicate and perform all disciplinary actions and terminations of team members.

Prepare or maintain documentation related to team member personnel files, separation notices, DOL hearing responses, or garnishments.

Job Specifications

High school diploma required. BA in Human Resources, Management, or other related field

3 plus years related experience

Proficiency with MS Office applications; Excel a MUST

Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills

Time management

Experience in SAP and Success Factors highly preferred
