Regional Commercial Banking Executive

Job Overview:
The Regional Commercial Banking Executive is responsible for overseeing commercial lending operations and driving business development initiatives across the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary representative of the bank in the region, ensuring alignment with the institution's vision to be the preferred financial partner and a recognized leader in the marketplace.
Leads sales and business development strategies aimed at enhancing loan and deposit growth, increasing non-interest income, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve corporate objectives.
Accountable for the profitability of the region, including management of pricing strategies, net interest margins, non-interest income optimization, and operational efficiency in accordance with established company benchmarks.
Ensures high standards of asset quality are maintained across the region, holding Commercial Lending Officers accountable for adhering to risk management protocols and the bank's credit culture.
Promotes a culture of responsibility within the organization, emphasizing effective communication, employee recognition, engagement, teamwork, and the ongoing professional development of staff.
Achieves or surpasses established annual performance targets that align with the strategic plan, including budgeted return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA).Manages a team of Lending Officers and other relevant personnel, ensuring accountability for performance and adherence to HR policies in staffing decisions.
Exemplifies the bank's commitment to exceptional customer service, taking ownership of customer experience recovery for service-related issues within the region.
Maintains a thorough understanding of the most valuable customer relationships in the region, supporting bankers in their business development and customer retention efforts.
Responsible for engaging with Local Advisory Boards, serving as a liaison and ensuring board members effectively represent the bank within the community and contribute to business development.
Participates in strategic planning and executes assigned priorities effectively.Expected to model the principles of Servant Leadership, ensuring both internal and external customers receive exemplary service.
Adheres to all regulatory compliance standards relevant to financial institutions and may undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Stays informed on industry trends and market conditions, adapting to changes in the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technological landscapes that may affect banking operations.
This executive may be assigned special projects by the President or CEO.Qualifications:
The Regional Commercial Banking Executive role requires a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred, along with completion of a graduate-level banking program. A minimum of five years of banking experience in a leadership capacity is essential.
Experience should encompass various banking sectors, including commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage services, wealth management, and marketing. Previous experience in a President role at a similarly sized institution is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with Boards of Directors, executive leadership, and various stakeholders. Proven track record in directing business development initiatives within the assigned region, leveraging personal sales expertise.
