The Senior Corrosion Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed corrosion specialist to assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects.The Senior Corrosion Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting plans according to budget constraints, design factors and client needs.Responsible for performing intermediate to complex corrosion engineering and cathodic protection design on a variety of engineering tasks with moderate to limited supervision.Assists in developing studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of cathodic protection and AC mitigation facilities/systems.Performs economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.Applies problem solving approaches and engineering theory to all project work and problems encountered specifically in the area of corrosion.Professional Engineering (PE) and/or NACE certifications strongly preferred.Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RIS3D, MathCADD), and civil analysis programs.
