Job Overview

The Corrosion Control Engineer is a pivotal role within Channel Personnel Services, focusing on the enhancement and support of various initiatives in the Corrosion Control sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the execution of Corrosion Control initiatives by assessing and refining existing technologies.
  • Design systems for corrosion control.
  • Promote data integration across the organization's Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Conduct risk assessments and formulate prevention and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for critical decision-making and prepare necessary Management of Change documentation.
  • Develop financial plans and oversee spending related to Corrosion Control initiatives.
  • Provide assistance to the Asset Integrity Team.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Experience: Generally, a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience is expected.
  • Required Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SQL, ESRI GIS, PowerBI, FME, Python, R, or other programming languages is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory codes pertinent to corrosion control management is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% may be necessary.
  • Certifications: Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly preferred. A minimum of NACE CP-2/AMPP certification is required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are crucial. The ability to maintain accurate records and provide updates is necessary.
