Job Overview

The Corrosion Control Engineer plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's initiatives within the Corrosion Management framework. This position is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in engineering principles and a passion for enhancing corrosion control methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution of Corrosion Management Programs by assessing and refining existing technologies.
  • Design corrosion control systems tailored to project specifications.
  • Facilitate the integration of data into the company's Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Conduct risk assessments and formulate strategies for prevention and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to make informed decisions and prepare necessary documentation for changes in management.
  • Develop financial plans and oversee the budget related to Corrosion Management initiatives.
  • Provide assistance to members of the Asset Integrity Team.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience is typically expected.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SQL, ESRI GIS, PowerBI, FME, Python, R, or other programming languages is advantageous.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards and regulatory frameworks related to corrosion management is crucial.
  • Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • Certifications: Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly preferred. A minimum of NACE CP-2/AMPP certification is required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to maintain accurate records and provide updates on project status is necessary.
