Description of the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to support our US-based employees and operating companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, experience with Dayforce and NetSuite, and proficiency in G Suite. Experience working as part of a global HR team is essential.
Reporting to: Chief People Officer
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for US-based employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- System Management: Utilize Dayforce and NetSuite for payroll processing, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Data Entry & Validation: Enter and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, bonuses, and other compensation adjustments.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders, providing insights and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
- Compliance: Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Coordination: Collaborate with the global HR team to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll processes across different regions.
- Employee Support: Address payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Dayforce and NetSuite and HRIS Systems. Strong proficiency in G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, etc.).
- Global HR Exposure: Experience working as part of a global HR team, with an understanding of international payroll processes and regulations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation or equivalent is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
