SUMMARY:

To increase market penetration in assigned geographical territory within accordance with company marketing strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages KPIs as assigned. KPIs are all related to the below duties and responsibilities.
  • Sources, evaluates and recommends viable distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturer representatives to market products in assigned territory.
  • Trains and provides support to distributor/wholesalers/manufacturer representatives to establish an effective network.
  • Maintains close relationships with distributor/wholesaler and manufacturer representatives network to determine competitive sales trends, competitor activities and competitor pricing.
  • Develops leads for medium to large construction projects and pursues through engineering, architectural, general contractors, etc. to quote jobs. Follow up on quotes to obtain orders.
  • Regarding the specification community, this position will perform regular product presentations as well as CEU presentations for engineers, architects, designers, builders, etc.
  • Complete understand of TOTO’s software: Salesforce, TOTO Sales, Dodge, etc.
  • Assists in developing marketing strategies within territory to build name recognition of company products.
  • Investigates customer complaints of defective product or unsatisfactory service and recommend appropriate action necessary to resolve complaints; Follows complaints to satisfactory conclusion between customer and company.
  • Ensures that all documentation and procedures are maintained in regards to ISO policies relating to Environment Management System and Quality Management System.
  • Maintains up-to-date information concerning sales prices, availability of product, production schedules, profit contribution, sales policies, sales trends, and status of current orders to meet marketing objectives and assure the company satisfies customer requirements to the greatest practical extent.
  • Reports any information as to a change in the financial status of customers.
  • Maintains memberships and participation in association and affiliated industry groups.
  • Shares in the sales and goals for the assigned geographical area.
  • Maintains daily contact with distributors/wholesalers/manufacturer rep agencies as well as engineering firms, architects, general contractors, etc., as needed.
  • Regular trainings and interaction with local kitchen & bath showrooms in the territory.
  • Engagement with all direct and indirect showrooms to ensure displays are current.
  • Maintains frequent contact within trade associations, trade shows, etc.
  • Management of manufacturer’s representative agencies in the territory.
  • Attend and assist at Chicago Gallery events.
  • Work from the Chicago Gallery as needed.
  • Update information on Salesforce or any CRM on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Additional duties and functions as needed.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Manage and supervise manufacturer’s representative agencies.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A College Degree is required, preferably in Business or Marketing
  • The ability for overnight travel is required to service customers
  • Three years of Industry Experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to positively influence people
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
