Summary

The IT Systems Administrator has a unique opportunity to work with both Frank Mayer and Midwest Assembly, Warehouse and Distribution. They provide technical support and assistance, resolve problems with the organization’s computer networks and systems, manage software applications, and maintain IT infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, reliability, and performance of various IT systems, and supports both on-site and remote users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Provide technical support to users by identifying, investigating, and resolving issues with computer software and hardware.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of individual user hardware (PCs, monitors, etc.).
  • Hold responsibility for all user and server/admin credentials.
  • Manage software applications including Office 365 (Email, Teams, Excel, Word), Seagull Bartender Software, Excalibur 3PL WMS, Sage 100 Accounting, Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks 3D CAD Design Software, and VTechnologies Starship Shipping Software.
  • Manage the Avaya phone system, facility security systems and AT&T accounts.
  • Manage data activity between multiple locations (Grafton and West Bend).
  • Manage printer and wireless networks across all facilities.
  • Manage network domains, all servers and server room hardware.
  • Activate and deactivate user accounts as needed, including hardware setup and Office 365 activation.
  • Ensure proper security protocols (2FA and Duo) are in place.
  • Interact with managed IT providers regarding firewalls, VPN, Office 365 licensing, spam filters, antivirus software, server backups, software updates, and remote access software.
  • Maintain knowledge of technological innovations and trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions for the 3PL system, Excalibur.
  • Develop MS-SQL queries and procedures to create custom reports and monitor the 3PL shipping database, Excalibur.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
