Status: Part Time/Full Time

Exempt: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Café Shift Leader is responsible for guiding the team to create an exceptional experience for both customers and staff, aligning with Colectivo Coffee's Mission and Values, under the direction of the Café Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Achieve positive financial outcomes for the café in line with budgetary goals.
  2. Foster a culture of accountability and ongoing improvement that complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established processes.
  3. Train and mentor team members to ensure they excel in their roles and contribute to a high-performance environment.
  4. Assign specific tasks using the Café Functional Architecture Model, ensuring that the café's coffee, food, and administrative operations deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  5. Maintain a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that encourages engagement from both customers and team members.
  6. Carry out additional responsibilities or projects as needed.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

A college degree in a business-related discipline and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in a hospitality environment and/or a supervisory capacity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in POS systems and computer applications.
  • Basic mathematical skills for business applications.
  • Flexible availability for scheduling that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Capability to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Completion of Colectivo Café training programs - Register, SB, 300 level bar certification, New Hire Orientation.
