Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Business Manager In this pivotal role, you'll partner with the Business Manager to drive operational excellence and strategic growth. You'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments, optimizing budgets, and spearheading initiatives that boost profitability and sustainability. Primary Purpose and Function:
- Responsible for a portion of the accounting, purchasing, warehouse and materials handling functions, as well as records retention, administrative contracts and information technologies. Responsible for the development, implementation coordination of new and established programs and procedures relating to the administrative functions.
Primary Working Relationships:
General Manager/Mine Management: Provide accounting and reporting that impact operations.
Corporate Controller/Assistant Controller: Ensure proper information flows.
Business Manager: Assist in coordination of department functions.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable functions
- Assist in preparation of financial statement on a monthly basis, conduct account reconciliations
- Review and implement Corporate/Divisional Accounting purchasing policies
- Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting; short-term and long-term
- Assist with management of contract administration
- Coordinate audits of Company's Accounts
- Prepare reports required by Corporate and regulatory agencies
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field with concentration in accounting or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience in Accounting, Information Systems, Materials Management, General and Administrative functions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good interpersonal, communication skills and negotiating and program development skills.
