Hino Trucks is seeking a skilled Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze sales performance, deliver strategic insights to improve profitability and efficiency, and assist with aftermarket parts pricing administration and budget preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis and sales support, with the ability to drive impactful results.


Specific responsibilities include:


Pricing:

  • Analyze and evaluate pricing data, market trends, and competitive landscape to develop and recommend effective pricing strategies.
  • Properly log and store incoming supplier cost files, ensuring accurate recording of actions taken
  • Perform price uploads in our system, including part categorization, weight entry, and execution of markup strategies.
  • Assist in creating new part numbers, adding new kits to the system, managing the supersession process, setting up customer-specific discounts, and configuring rebate structures.


Reporting and Financial Analysis:

  • Generate and disseminate periodic reports, including sales, rebates, dealer KPIs, orders, inventory, pricing, margins, and other key performance indicators, according to established schedules.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements for the Parts Department to assess performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct In-Depth Analysis of Sales Data. Identify sales trends and patterns, including return rates, to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Establish, monitor, and control sales budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals and optimize resource allocation.
  • Create monthly reports on price variance, delivery conditions, project status, and other performance criteria.
  • Generate ad hoc reports per management requests.


Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Parts Sales/Marketing, Hino Field Personnel, Manufacturing, and Finance.
  • Foster strong relationships with dealer parts managers, and occasionally dealer principals.


A successful candidate would have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Business Analytics or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of two years of analysis experience and demonstrated experience in financial analysis, pricing analysis, and sales analysis is highly desirable.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft 365, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP, IF) and Power BI. Familiarity with Access or SQL is desirable.


This is a hybrid position reporting to the Sr. Manager, Parts Operations.
